La Mer

Translation for singing!
Poetic-not precisely the same-yet substantially closer to French lyrics than Lawrence's lyrics "Beyond the Sea".
If you like this, tell us at

The sea, see it dance

Playing along the long shore

N' when it showers, the sea shines bright

Splaying the light even more

The sea, to the summer sky

Confounds those ivory sheep

Shepherd of blue, you watch the view

Reflecting Angels as they sleep.

I'll see . . . circling a pond

Tall reeds glistening green

And homes a rusty red

White wings caa-calling the sea . . .

The Sea swings along shore

To sing a tune of l'amour

Waves of a song of love to me

A lifetime of love for the sea.
